Paper session

A paper session consists of oral presentations of four single papers, followed by a discussion with the audience. Each presenter is given 15 minutes to present. Paper sessions are scheduled for 90 minutes.


Symposia present research on one topic or theme, providing a coherent set of papers for discussion. Symposia sessions consist of three to five oral paper presentations and a discussant. Symposia are directed by a chairperson. Symposia are scheduled for 90 minutes.

Research Design Forum

The aim of the Research Design Forum sessions is to offer researchers the opportunity to receive feedback on their research plans or proposals. Two experienced scholars will be invited to prepare their feedback in advance and provide comments during the session. For these sessions, one complete time slot (90 minutes) will be reserved for the discussions of two research plans, in order to facilitate the possibility to discuss it in more detail.
